Hydrox 8 Reviews

HYDROX 81 Hydrox 8There are no reviews to be found on Hydrox 8.  In fact information is hard to find–PERIOD.  I’ll tell you this–no news is not good news when it comes to fat burners and diet pills.  Lack of consumer reviews means lack of interest in the product.  But don’t glaze over like a donut yet.  Let’s continue this review just for gits and shiggles.

Ingredients in Hydrox 8

I do have ingredients!  YES!  And from mere ingredients I can (kinda, sorta) tell you whether or not Hydrox 8 is worth pursuing.  I am a magician like that.  POOF! and eh voila–I will magic a diagnosis.  Hold onto your knickers…

  • Citrus Aurantium–a fancy name for bitter orange, purportedly “used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine” as a basic cure all.  More recently it was found to contain a compound called synephrine that works much like ephedra did–but without the negative side effects on the nervous and cardiovascular systems.  In other words it raises metabolic rate and causes thermogenesis (fat burning.)
  • Chromium Picolinate– clinically proven in human test subjects to suppress the appetite by a daily 24%, Chromium manages blood glucose levels so sugar is burned for energy and not stored as fat.  It also helps decrease sugar and carbohydrate cravings.  You need 200-400 mcg for it to be effective and very often weight loss companies do not provide enough to get the job done.
  • Garcinia Cambogia– the active component in Garcinia Cambogia is Hydroxycitric acid or HCA.  It is thrown into weight loss pills and fat burners for its alleged ability to suppress appetite and decrease the body’s ability to create adipose (fatty) tissue when you overeat.
  • Green Tea -clinical research abounds for Green Tea.  It contains potent antioxidants that heal you at a cellular level–stopping free radical damage and reversing it.  It’s used in weight loss formulas and fat burners for its epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) content which has been found to rev up the metabolism and accelerate faster weight loss.
  • L-Carnitine - is produced naturally in the body, metabolizing fat cells so they can be utilized for energy.  It also purportedly helps create lean muscle mass.
  • Cayenne Powder -there is no scientific evidence to support the claims that cayenne pepper heats up the metabolism but many experts in the field of holistic medicine believe it does.
  • Willow Bark -Willow Bark is often found in fat burners and diet pills but it’s actually a natural form of aspirin.
  • Guarana -a natural form of caffeine, Guarana is rumored to work as a stimulant, increasing metabolism, mental alertness and stamina with the usual side effects associated with stimulants.

Okay, there are a couple of good ingredients here that have been clinically proven to work for weight loss (Citrus Aurantium, Chromium and Green Tea.)  The others are just ‘blee.’ (That’s a technical word for ineffective, unproven, and just so-so.)  This formula is ’okay.’  It certainly doesn’t grab me by the short and curlies and make me scream hallelujah.  And I cannot further judge this product without ingredient quantities.  If they’re in individual amounts then Hydrox 8 has a better chance of being somewhat effective than if they’re thrown unceremoniously into a proprietary blend–if the quantities are high enough.  Blends are notorious ‘baddies’–hiding ineffective amounts of the expensive and quality ingredients and giving you oodles of the cheap stuff that doesn’t work.

Does Hydrox 8 Offer a Money-Back Guarantee?

Hydrox 8 doesn’t come with any kind of guarantee. I only found one company selling this product and I can tell you right now–IT HAS SCAM WRITTEN ALL OVER IT!  They offer a ‘LIFETIME SUPPLY of Hydrox 8 for only $1.00.’  Yes $1.00.  That’s (quote) “99% off!”

But do you know what this is?  It’s one of those nasty 14-day trials.  A word to the wise–if you see a fat burner/diet product being sold with the words ’14-day trial’ attached to it…RUN LIKE YOUR KNICKERS ARE ON FIRE!’ It’s a scam pure and simple.  The company has a warehouse full of ineffective product they want to move so they offer it for a silly amount of money, backing it with all sorts of hype.  What they’re doing is getting your credit card information.  Take it from someone who’s fallen for this (and is quite BITTER may I add), you will be charged a trumped up amount for the product (in my case $89.95-TWICE) before you even get the product in the mail.  And just try getting someone on the phone.  You won’t.  I had to cancel my credit card–and Visa wouldn’t dispute the charge either, basically telling me I was stupid for falling for an internet scam.  Yeah.  I know.

Final Thoughts

Here are my final thoughts (takes a deep breath):

  1. Hydrox 8 is a 14-day trial scam.
  2. Hydrox 8 can only be found on one website and I can guarantee just by looking at the lack of information on the site that Xlent Health is not a reputable company.
  3. Hydrox 8 is scant on product information–most particularly ingredient quantities.  This is a HUGE RED FLAG.

There.  I feel better now.  Products like this and companies like Xlent Health give the weight loss supplement community a bad name.  The best thing you can do for your health is always to eat well and exercise daily, but there are good fat burners out there to help you attain your weight loss goals.  But you need to go with a company that’s:

  1. Easy to find!
  2. Is open about all product information particularly ingredients, and offer them in individual and CLINICAL amounts.
  3. Contains at least SIX clinically proven, high-quality ingredients.
  4. Offers a full 100% money back guarantee.
  5. Is backed by loads of consumer testimonials outside of the official website.

Go forth and find a better fat burner my friend.  Hydrox 8 should be a mere memory already–and a bad one at that.
